Our Plastic Experts team provides expert witness and plastic consulting services across a wide variety of polymer manufacturing processes and end market applications. We have developed a variety of contacts in the industry and access to appropriate equipment for prototyping and small scale production critical for a patent application. Many of them have served in court as an expert witnesses and have a long list of patents on their resume.

Cast Film - 4" die width adjustable lip coat hanger die with 3 -roll chrome plated adjustable speed take up rolls for flat film or sheet. Depending on material and width requirements, films as thin as 5 mil and as thick as 80 mil.
Cast Film - 8" die width feed by a 1.5" single screw extruder for mono-layer samples.
Blown Film - 3/4" annular die and equipment for a maximum bubble diameter up to 5 inches.
We can conduct custom compounding for product development - from mixing bowl studies and mini-twin screw blends at a rate of a pound or two per hour up through 21 mm twin screw developmental scale and on to semi-works production using 27 mm and 50 mm twin screw extruders.
Injection Molding - 55 and 90-ton presses for mold temperatures up to 220°F. This equipment can be configured with your prototype mold for short-run product and tooling trials. A variety of in-house molds are also available for use including a wide array of ASTM test specimen molds including an ASTM family mold, a spiral flow mold, a 2”x3” variable thickness plaque mold, and color chip molds.
